The Nizhnevartovsk Fish Cannery «Santa Maria» is one of the largest fish processing enterprises in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra since 1998.
Since October 2013, the enterprise has resumed production of canned fish in tin cans. Modern processing technologies allow preserving the nutritional properties in canned fish, but unlike fresh fish, canned fish is always ready to eat and does not require additional storage conditions. To date, the enterprise produces 30 types of canned fish: natural, in oil, tomato, minced fish, fish-vegetable, with side dishes of vegetables and cereals, as well as delicate jellies and pâtés. The company received a Halal certificate in 2024, which is accepted in the Middle East.
